So the day has turned to sunday and that means the last day of this year’s Assembly. It’s been a blast and what waits tomorrow is the last real push of the event; The dismantling.
I don’t who has made the coffee at our base in Lapin Kulta but damn it has been good and strong. Just the thing you need to be awake until 3am.
I’m going to post some pictures which might be the last ones I post. This is because, to tell you the truth, I don’t have any energy to take them and there’s really nothing new to take pictures off. That doesen’t mean I won’t update this blog anymore. So here are the pictures:

Yhtäkkiä tapahtuma onkin jo alkanut. Oikeiden töiden viedessä aikaa siellä ja täällä, en ole kerennyt vahtimaan oikeestaan mitään livecrewn rakennuksia. Puhelin on pysynyt kumminkin hiljaisena joten kaipa siellä on ollut kaikki hallussa.

Oman varsinaisen projektini, kahden partykävijän kokemuksista kertovan dokumentin kuvaukset pääsivät toden teolla vauhtiin torstai aamuna. Kohteita on kaksi, joten tarkka logistinen suunnitelman oli tarpeen jotta sain kuvattua molempien sisääntulon.

Nyt on perjantai-ilta… tai siis yö. Vielä kun saan pari haastattelua purkkiin, pääsee kotiin vaihtaan vaatteita ja nukkumaan hetkeksi. Toinen päähenkilöni aikoo olla nukkumatta koko tapahtuman ajan. Viimesen päivän haastattelut ovat varmaan mielenkiintoisia…

So it’s friday evening and the party is starting to reach it’s middle phase. It’s starting to take it’s toll but it’s still fun.
What has surprised me is the amount of girls at the party. I think the amount of girl visitors is growing expotentially every year. I think it’s good as this will really spread the knowledge of this party and shatter the preconception that you can’t make friends from the computer hobby and don’t go outside of your room.
I also got a little change in my assigment. The floor manager of the Arena studio was FUBAR so I trained myself as a cameraman and now I’m happily doing some of the compo studios and the Assembly Update which airs every hour (almost) on the hour.

People think nerds and geeks are guys who are slim, wear boring clothes and of course have the strong glasses. It has been interesting to watch the visitors as I’ve not seen anyone who fits the stereotype. I have to admit that I’ve not been to the Arena level much but I’ve seen people in the hallways.
Today I went and took some random pictures of people who I encountered as I left Lapin Kulta. I tried to cover the whole range of people here but that would mean I would have to take over 4000 pictures =)

My recommendation of the day: Doing things as scheduled! We actually managed to air the final Assembly Update of the day right on the hour!

Aurinkoisesta ulkoilmasta käveleminen hallille ja suoraan Lapparin pimeyteen oli jokseenkin hämmentävää. Ulkona on kaunis kesäpäivä, ja täällä hallilla sadat ihmiset vain istuvat koneidensa ääressä. Lohduttavaa on se, että hiilenharmaat pilvet ainakin viime näkemältä olivat peittämässä sinitaivasta.

Lueskelin tuossa aiemmin MBnetin assypäiväkirjaa. Hauskaa, että ensikertalaiset ovat kirjoittaneet fiiliksiään. Olisi oivaa tietää, minkä ikäinen on nuorin hallilla oleva.

Pitäisi varmaan lähteä kiertelemään ja tutkailemaan mitä ihmiset touhuilevat ja tuttuja moikkaamaan. Kahvivajekin alkaa vaivata.

Mutta ihmiset, lähettäkääs nyt niitä kuvia tuonne Media gallery -sivulle. Olisi hauska nähdä millaisia kuvia ihmiset tapahtumasta ottavat.
